Jeep JL Wrangler 392 3.5" True Dual Rate Lift Kit

A perfect kit so you can enjoy your 392 Hemi Jeep with a lift now, with opportunity to build on for the future. This is a mid lift height for mild off-road use, made with top level parts. Featuring patented Technology available nowhere else.

Note: 392 Jeeps come factory equipped with a 1" lift.

Features Include:
  • Duroflex™ Joints enhanced with Kevlar
  • True Dual Rate™ Coils
  • Coil Isolators
  • Durotrak equipped front track bar
  • Specifically tuned shocks for True Dual Rate™ Coils
  • Height adjustable bump stops
The MetalCloak Game Changing Duroflex™ Joints are the only vulcanized [click for more...] elastomer, self-centering joint enhanced with DuPont™ Kevlar® fiber – providing incredible durability with more misalignment in the control arms and better vibration dampening than anything else available. Exclusive to MetalCloak (see detailed info in the main body).

True Dual Rate™ Coils provides the most comfortable and stable ride over traditional single rate lift springs, and provide better load handling than the typical "progressive/multi-rate" coils. Our True Dual Rate coils are extra long in free-length to maintain contact for extreme articulation. MetalCloak has over a decade of proven dual-rate coil performance.

The front true dual rate coils come with MetalCloak's Front Lower Coil Correction Pads. This polymer isolator replaces the OEM plastic part and corrects the coil bow that may be caused when using the worn parts. Fits in factory location and is a quick upgrade to fine tune your Jeep.

MetalCloak Thermoset Elastomer Coil Isolator upgrade pads are designed to last and outperform factory parts. The pads are made specifically for MetalCloak True Dual Rate Coils and are model specific.

The Durotrak bushings reduce NVH (noise, vibration and harshness) that can be transferred to the driver and provides a smoother ride while also improving the vehicles steering input. The patented track bar bushings are a 2-part design that can rotate 360 degrees in a vertical plane unhindered while minimizing horizontal forces to keep the Jeeps axle centered and you going in the right direction.

We offer a choice in shocks; run the shock set-up you choose to fit your build needs. If you have a different idea of what shocks will work best for you- go for it. MetalCloak suspensions ARE designed to optimally be used with the patented MetalCloak tuned Shocks that provide maximum up and down travel. Our RockSport Shocks (Exclusively at MetalCloak) provide longer travel featured in a standard shock design and share the same valving as our premiere 6Paks; this is THE option if looking for great shocks at a fantastic price. The choice is yours to buy the suspension with or without shocks and then add any whatever shock you choose.

Adjustable height front and rear bump stops are a MetalCloak first and allow you to adjust the travel to be tailored to the size of tire you have optioned for. Add more bump stop or remove to adjust to the clearance you need without having to remove the coils.

This is an entry-level kit comprised of top level parts -- a 2.5" lift kit, that gives you added clearance for larger tires, unprecedented ride quality, at an affordable price, and allows you to build upon the kit if you ever desire to improve off-road performance with Game Changer components.

MetalCloak patented components have been proven safe with the FMVSS certificate of safety; test done while configured with 37inch tires, full body armor and suspension lift.

Important Note: 392 Jeeps come factory equipped with a 1" lift. You will be removing that lift when installing the MetalCloak lift. Our 3.5" coils should give you a net gain of 2.5" of additional lift height. Your final lift height should be 3.5" depending on vehicle set up, weight, etc.

Note: If using stock wheels you must have a 1.75" wheel spacer. If using aftermarket wheels the backspacing required is a maximum of 4.75".

Note: Due to the long-travel MetalCloak suspensions provide, factory drive shafts may/will contact OEM components and wear quickly when at the extremes of articulation. An aftermarket driveshaft is highly recommended.

Note: MetalCloak engineers have chosen shocks that have been proven to have the ideal synergy with our systems. We have not tested other shocks on the market as to whether they complement our Game-Changer system or suppress its performance.

Note: MetalCloak Recommends You Have a Suspension Specialist Align Your Jeep Once MetalCloak Suspension is Installed.

Note: MetalCloak does not recommend powder coating your True Dual Rate Coils. See instructions for additional details.

Note: This item is being offered as a complete system that contains all the components shown. We cannot customize, replace or remove a component from the kit. If you need a custom order, all components are available individually and our sales team is happy to help you place your order.

Note: If you purchase this system, and decide you do not need a component or part of the system, we cannot accept returns.

IT ALL STARTS WITH THE BUSHINGS

The Patented Duroflex™ Joint (metalcloakpatents.com) is the key to getting the greatest flex in a bolt-on suspension kit. Period.

A graphical comparison of an OEM Clevite plus a typical Flex Joint equaling a MetalCloak Duroflex Joint.

MetalCloak has taken the best features of the most widely used control arm joints and combined those features to create the Duroflex Joint, producing a Low-Maintenance, High-Misalignment (34˚), Self-Centering, Rebuildable Joint with an OEM quality ride.

Now with Kevlar!

DuPont™ Kevlar® Fiber is now compounded in the proprietary elastomer of the Duroflex Bushing, bringing even more strength, durability and performance.

Kevlar® is a synthetic fiber with extremely high tensile strength to weight ratio…five times stronger than steel and commonly used in bullet proof armor applications.

Duroflex Bushings w/Kevlar® can be identified by the MetalCloak “M” located on the outer surface.

Control Arm Duroflex Joint Alignment...

At MetalCloak we take the care to build every product right.

Most manufacturers build their control arms misaligned from center. Why? It simply costs less to do so.

By not cutting any corners, our joints are Centered and Aligned reducing wear and improving performance.

It makes them easier to install, too!

What are True Dual Rate Coils?

MetalCloak JL Wrangler True Dual Rate™ Coils have one of the longest free length in the industry for greater articulation without sacrificing the OEM ride quality.

Without the advantage of the Dual Rate Design, the required Spring Rate would be too low and "squishy" -- just loading your Jeep up with supplies would affect ride height and quality. (Learn More About True Dual Rate Coils)
