Welcome to SkillzDay — the off-road Jeep training program developed by MetalCloak over a decade ago to teach brand new Jeep owners how to use their Jeep. This is a full day of hands-on training at Prairie City SVRA in a safe, supervised environment. For just $25 per driver, you'll cover the fundamentals that most Jeepers wish someone had taught them from the start.

Event Details
WHAT IS IT?
A chance for new Jeep owners to develop their off-roading skills in a safe and supervised environment — with MetalCloak volunteers, industry guests, and expert instruction all day long.
WHO CAN COME?
New Jeepers with little or no off-road experience, and returning SkillzDay graduates looking for a refresher. If you're experienced but your driver isn't, you may attend. Experienced Jeepers who already know the trail — this event is not for you.
JEEPS ONLY?
Yes. This is a Jeep-focused event staffed by Jeep-focused volunteers. All instruction is tailored to Jeep platforms.

First time at SkillzDay? Register as a Novice. Attended before and want a refresher? Register as an Advanced Beginner. We separate the groups to give new attendees maximum seat time and instruction.

Yes — industry friends, clubs, and partner organizations join us throughout the day covering topics like safety, airing down, trail repairs, land use, and more.
WHAT HAPPENS ON THE DAY?
Volunteers are stationed at obstacles throughout Prairie City, coaching you through what your rig can do and how to handle it. The morning covers training stations; the afternoon opens up for free wheeling to put your skills to work. Demonstrations on recovery, winching, on-trail fixes, and land use ethics happen throughout the day.
WHAT DOES IT COST?
$25 per driver · $15 per passenger
