00:00 Hey, Scott Becker with MetalCloak here. We're going to install the rear upper control arm correction brackets for the JT Gladiator.
00:08 The correction brackets improve the driveability by reducing the angle of the upper control arms and correct pinion issues.
00:16 Before we do the install, let's go to metalcloakinstructions.com, print out the instructions and read completely through them.
00:25 Once we understand what we're getting into and we certainly have the necessary tools and skills, we can start in on the installation.
00:33 Now let's go down to the shop and get started.
00:36 Our Jeep is already in a safe location and ready to be worked on, so we're going to unbox the contents and verify that all the parts listed on the instruction page are accounted for before taking anything apart.
00:48 Looks like we're good to go.
00:50 Lift the Jeep and support the rear axle with jack stands.
00:54 At the axle, remove the factory control arm bolts of the upper and lower control arms with a 23mm socket and 21mm wrench.
01:05 Disconnect the e-brake cable at the wheel end.
01:09 Feed the e-brake cable through the holes on the bracket and set the bracket into place with the bracket offset to the outside of the vehicle.
01:20 Insert the crush sleeve into the factory upper control arm mount and insert the provided 5/8 bolt and nut hand tight.
01:29 Insert the lower control arm into the lower pocket of the bracket and install one of the 5/8 bolt hand tight.
01:37 Insert the upper control arm into the upper pocket of the bracket and install one of the 5/8 bolt hand tight.
01:45 Working from the bottom to the top, tighten the bolts with 5/16th socket and wrench.
01:54 Reinstall the E-brake.
01:58 Now that we're done, all there is to do is to go out and enjoy your Jeep.
