[00:00] Hey, Scott Becker here with MetalCloak.
[00:04] Today we're going to be installing the rear shock skid plate brackets for the 6G Bronco.
[00:12] This kit reinforces the factory rear shock brackets and provides a glide surface to slide over obstacles.
[00:22] But before we do the installation, let's head over to metalcloakinstructions.com and print out the instructions and read through them completely.
[00:33] Once we understand what we're getting into and we are certain that we have the skills and all the necessary tools, then we can start in on the installation.
[00:48] Now let's go down to the shop and get started.
[00:52] Our Bronco is already in a safe location and ready to be worked on.
[00:58] So we're going to verify that all the parts listed on the instructions page are accounted for before taking our Bronco apart.
[01:07] Looks like we're good to go.
[01:10] The rear shock skid plates are going to be installed here under the Bronco.
[01:16] First remove the factory rear shock bolt using a 27mm socket.
[01:23] Save the hardware.
[01:25] Place the skid plate into position and loosely install the two provided smaller bolts, washers and nuts in order to hold the skid plate into place.
[01:40] Reinstall the factory rear shock hardware and tighten with a 27mm socket.
[01:49] Using a 9/16" socket and wrench, tighten the two smaller bolts.
