What size winch are MetalCloak bumpers designed for?
They are designed for a mid-frame winch with a rating up to 12K lbs.
Are MetalCloak bumpers designed for flat towing?
No, we do not recommend flat towing with our bumpers. Instead, utilize a tow bar (ex. Blue Ox) for safe transport of the vehicle.
What should I do about any chips/damage to the powder coating?
Using Rust Oleum textured black spray paint works nicely. Use a Q-tip for small sections.
Will this SlimCrawler Rear Bumper (Product ID 2804) bumper work on 2006 TJ with a U-Haul hitch already installed?
No, this bumper is not designed to work with a hitch.
What is the weight of your JL Wrangler Crawler "Narrow Width" Rear Bumper, BPC and your JL Wrangler Crawler "Full Width" Rear Bumper, BPC?
The "Narrow Width" rear bumper is 80 lbs and the "Full Width" is 90 lbs.
What is the weight of the Frame-Built Bumper Base, JL Wrangler with 56" end caps and winch guard (#2401)? And with 49" end caps and winch guard (#2501)?
Both of these bumpers are 100 lbs including the skid plates.
What is the weight of this bumper with the 49" pods?
P.S. I have this bumper and absolutely love it, just trying to calculate my new payload
This setup is approximately 70lbs.
What size are the Grade 8 fasteners holding the wings on to this Lo Profile Modular Rear Bumper?
We use ½” hardware for that.
Does this Winch Guard fit stock TJ bumpers?
No, this is specific to our bumpers.
Will an Apex Bandland winch fit this Frame-Built Bumper without modifications?
Yes, it will fit well without issue.
Can this fairlead be used with the stock (Mopar) steel bumper as a replacement for my current one (WARN) that's starting to wear?
Yes, it is the standard fairlead pattern for mounting and will work on most winch mounts.
Will this Frame-Built Light Bar interfere with the stinger or will both mount up fine?
Yes, this light bar fits with all our bumper accessories, like the winch guard and stingers.
Just being sure will this Stock Bumper Winch Plate work on my '25 Gladiator Nighthawk front stock bumper?
Unfortunately, it will not fit as the Nighthawk does not show to be equipped with the factory steel bumper. One of our replacement bumpers would be a better option to install a winch on the Jeep with, and will retain the stock fog lights.
Hi, What is the weight of this bumper?
This JL Wrangler Rear Bumper Full Width weights in at 90lbs of pure steel strength. For the Crawler Narrow bumper it is 85lbs.
Will this allow a 37" spare tire?
The JK Wrangler Full Duty Bumper System will clear up to a 40” with use of our HD Sportgate Tire Carrier.
If I have the Rocklander rack system installed on my JK, will the this bumper interfere with the rear hoop mounts?
The RockLander rack is better matched with the full width version (3904). It will also provide protection under the mounts for the rear hoop.
What is the bolt pattern that this will accommodate?
We have included 4x4.5”( YJ/TJ/LJ), 5x5” (JK/JL/JT) , and 5x5.5” (CJ) to account for all the common Jeep patterns.
What size led bar can this accommodate? How wide is it? Frame-Built Light Bar, JK
We have designed this mount to be used with 10”-13” LED bars or a pair of up to 6” lights.
If I have a 2022 Rubicon Extreme Recon - will the back plate interfere with the auto sway bar disconnect?
The plate is tight to the sway bar disconnect motor due to the amount of room given to fit a winch in the bumper.... however, it does not affect the sway bar motor at all.
Will this rear bumper work on a 2024 Bronco Raptor?
Unfortunately, this bumper is not Raptor compatible. The mounting is different on Raptors vs other Bronco models.
