ARS has created a structure to safely handle additional cargo loads for your Jeep. Our rack systems are built on a unique floating foundation that separates and distributes weight to the body and to the frame, maximizing structure and support. Utilizing a matrix of 3/16" steel pier-plates, base anchor footings, and 2" diameter steel columns, our system interconnects a framework that allows for "seismic" forces to be handled readily with its unique mechanical advantages.

ARS is the only rack that features a "load bearing" front hoop without the need for additional support; this strength is the bedrock that allows our rack systems to withstand fore and aft thrust, side load forces, and prevents horizontal racking (the twisting/flexing out of a rigid or supportive state). The front hoop columns are attached with 3/16" steel pier-plates that connect to 16 strong mounting points along with 2 additional fasteners at the front assembly of the Jeep body, then the pier plates are discreetly covered with the factory cowl for a clean OE look.

The rear hoop columns are attached with our 3/16" steel base anchors and flexural footings that create an understructure connecting the frame of the Jeep to the hoop for the strongest attachment point. The flexural footings are coupled to our 2" OD steel support columns through 2-part urethane bushings, providing flexural rigidity between the frame and body mounts that allow the front and rear foundations to work in unison to support the cargo structure.

Roof trusses are made from strong 2" OD steel tube and are attached with CNC billet clamps to the fore and aft hoop columns. The roof trusses have been engineered with forward slopes to reduce outward forces on the front body-mounted hoop columns; the rear facing billet clamps attach directly to the frame-mounted rear hoop columns, where any thrust forces are dealt with utilizing our base anchored/flexural footings.

The roof trusses are positioned low, as bowing is not an issue with the colossal strength, ensuring the lowest center of gravity possible when at capacity. The JL ARS Rack will support up to 350 lbs of dynamic weight and over 850 lbs quasi-static loads.

Note: Does NOT fit on a JL 392 due to a taller cowl/hood.

Note: Does NOT fit on a JL 4xe due to the charging port location.

Note: The front hoop Kat Walk (R75080) is sold separately.

Note: The pod light mounts (R75011 / R75012) are sold separately.

Who Is ARS?

ARS is dedicated to overland cargo management for Jeeps and other adventure vehicles. All of our products are made right here in the USA.

THE TECH

JL Wrangler 2-Door Rocklander Rack System

ARS has created a structure to safely handle additional cargo loads for your Jeep. Our rack systems are built on a unique floating foundation that separates and distributes weight to the body and to the frame, maximizing structure and support.

Rocklander Front Hoop

A blue Rubicon Jeep with doors off and a branded front hoop attached to the body.

ARS is the only rack that features a "load bearing" front hoop without the need for additional support; this strength is the bedrock that allows our rack systems to withstand fore and aft thrust, side load forces, and prevents horizontal racking (the twisting/flexing out of a rigid or supportive state).

Integrated Weld-On Handles

The Rocklander Front Hoop has welded-on 1" x .120 wall steel tube handles that let you get up and into your Jeep and also provide easy access to the optional Kat Walk accessory or roof rack.

Steel Pier Plates

The front hoop columns are attached with 3/16" steel pier-plates that connect to 16 strong mounting points along with 2 additional fasteners at the front assembly of the Jeep body, then the pier plates are discreetly covered with the factory cowl for a clean OE look.

Rocklander Rear Hoop

The Rocklander Rear Hoop fits a 2-Door or 4-Door JL Wrangler. The rear hoop is made of strong 2" x .120 wall steel tube and mounts directly to the frame while adding protection for the rear corners of the Jeep JL Wrangler. The rear hoop is black powder coated to protect the hoop from the elements and does not require any drilling or body modifications.

Billet Shelf-Lock

Billet Shelf-Lock connections allow for ease of installation and increased functionality.

The rear hoop connects the rear uprights together with solid billet, overlapping Shelf-Locks that secure into place using industrial-grade, corrosion-resistant hardware.

The Billet Shelf-Lock connectors are fully welded into the tubes for incredible strength and help facilitate ease of assembly.

Rear Hoop Adapter Brackets

The rear hoop columns are attached with our 3/16" steel base anchors and flexural footings that create an understructure connecting the frame of the Jeep to the hoop for the strongest attachment point.

Noise Vibration Dampening Bushings

The flexural footings are coupled to our 2" OD steel support columns through 2-part urethane bushings, providing flexural rigidity between the frame and body mounts that allow the front and rear foundations to work in unison to support the cargo structure.

2-Door Roof Trusses

The Jeep Wrangler 2-Door JL Roof Trusses are a critical part of the ARS cargo system. The roof trusses are made solid with 2" OD steel tubing that connects with the front and rear hoop columns, and create the most stable cargo management system available. ARS Roof Trusses are finished in a durable black textured powder coat that protects against the elements and keeps them looking good.

Engineered Bend

To maximize load strength, ARS Roof Trusses are designed with a forward slope that reduces push/load forces on the front body-mounted hoop columns.

CNC Billet Clamps

The strong 2" OD steel tube roof trusses are complemented with huge CNC steel billet clamps that attach firmly with a combined clamping force of over 3,200 lbs to the front and rear hoop columns.

Low-Profile Design

The roof trusses are positioned low, as bowing is not an issue with the colossal strength, ensuring the lowest center of gravity possible when at capacity.

Tube Diameter - Size Matters

ARS uses 2" diameter tube for maximum strength. Just a simple visual comparison shows the material used for ARS components far surpasses inferior brands.

Weight Capacity

The JL Wrangler ARS Rack will support up to 350 lbs of dynamic weight and over 850 lbs quasi-static loads.

Optional MetalCloak Rear Bumper & Bracket Upgrade Kit

MetalCloak rear bumper with bolted-on end caps and brackets.

The MetalCloak Bumper for the Jeep Wrangler is a perfect mix of function and utility. The strong 3/16" structure is built tough and has a low-profile, close-fitting design that allows for increased departure clearance without skimping on utility features like welded recovery points, works with factory tow hitch, protected electrical outlet, and modular wraparound corner end caps. The MetalCloak Rear Bumper Upgrade Kit also includes the rear hoop bracket system. Click Here to Learn More About the MetalCloak Rear Bumper.

Optional Front Hoop Kat Walk

The JL Wrangler Jeep Kat Walk is a non-slip step platform that provides easy access to the top of the Jeep. The ARS Kat Walk is a bolt-on accessory that spans the windshield/hood area of the JL that attaches to front hoop and is rated for 300 lbs.

The Front Hoop Kat Walk is sold separately.

Optional Mounting Pod Lights

Two square RIGID LED off-road lights attached to a red vehicle's front hoop bracketry.

CUSTOMER QUESTIONS
How much does the Rocklander rack system weigh with the front and rear hoops and the 2 bars for a 2-door JL? Mainly interested so I know which MetalCloak coil springs to order.
The rack total shipping weight is 145 lbs. We normally run a 1” taller rear coil to address the added rear load of an overland setup.
How much does the entire 2-Door Rocklander Rack System weigh?
It will depend a bit on the configuration but is about 150 lb.
