MetalCloak's Baller Joints™ HD Knurled Ball Joints for the Jeep JK Wrangler are specifically engineered for worn or oversized axle C bores where standard ball joints may no longer maintain the proper press fit. Precision knurled housing increases retention inside the axle C to help restore a secure fit without replacing the housing.

MetalCloak ball joints start with a Chromoly Spindle & Ball with induction hardened surface strength that resists wear and provides a maximized bearing area to distribute force loads. The material gives superior ability to absorb energy without fracture over inferior materials.
The precision-machined knurled housing helps compensate for slightly enlarged or worn ball joint bores commonly found in high-mileage or heavily abused axles. This increased interference fit helps reduce unwanted movement inside the axle C and improves overall ball joint retention.
Composite bearing sleeves slide over the spindle to handle shock loads and are highly resistant to deformation. Ball and spindle are both load bearing and utilize metal-on-metal strength captured with Tool Steel Races that eliminate memory steer and provide long-lasting durability.
Both upper and lower joints are adjustable for preload tension, have recessed zerk fittings for servicing and are sealed with multiple Buna-N Rubber O-Rings along with shaft wiper seals to keep contaminants out and grease in.
Aluminum lock nuts and threaded top caps capture the joints so there is no possibility of pulling the joints out of the C.

Load Bearing Joints
Pre-load on upper Ball Joint diverts force-loads from the lower joint and shares the load between both pivot locations.
Thread Together Captured Design
Ball Joints press in from the bottom of the C then the Aluminum lock nut and Thread on Top Cap capture the joints so there is no possibility of pulling the joints out.

The included wrench is specially designed and laser cut to precisely fits the lower ball joint and allows for ease of maintenance. The wrench is made of laser cut 3/16" hot rolled steel, the tool is finished in gold zinc for a classic premium look and long lasting MetalCloak quality.
