RockSport BLACK Reservoir Shocks are custom-engineered, meticulously designed, and precision-manufactured in-house here at MetalCloak. These aluminum-bodied, 2.5" reservoir shocks have 8 precision compression settings that allow you to tune their performance to meet your Gold Standard.

The shocks feature 2.5" diameter aluminum bodies with 3/16" wall thickness for extra protection of vital internal components. Their large interior fluid capacity helps them stay cool and withstand on- and off-road abuse.
The remote reservoir connects to the shock with a stainless-steel-braided, synthetic-lined reservoir hose rated for a high working pressure of 3,000 psi. Optimized flow orifices allow unhindered shock oil flow.
The unique valve stack with parabolic shim form (Patent Pending #63/743,954) provides a compact and simplified valve assembly that eliminates the shim-stack problems associated with conventional methods, allowing our exact target numbers to be achieved.
Our completed package allows the maximum shaft length to be utilized and provides more travel than any similarly sized monotube shock; even the interiors of the end caps are machined for additional travel.
The shock piston receives functional Type III Mil-Spec clear HARD anodizing to protect the assembly from wear caused by high-velocity fluid transfer, ensuring a long-lasting service life.
Oversized 7/8" hard-chrome-plated shafts are induction-hardened to Rockwell C 60+, exceeding most competitors in durability. They can withstand repeated impacts while providing the BEST protection from rock debris, maintaining a consistently smooth surface for the seals and wipers to ride on.
A triple seal pack keeps shock oil in and contaminants out. The removable bump cap protects the seal assembly from full-compression damage and provides access for servicing the shock.
A large, easy-to-grip billet knob with laser-marked numbers allows you to easily change the compression setting. Choose from 8 settings that add an additional 15% compression force with each click to tune in your Gold Standard. Dial in your off-road comfort while maintaining excellent daily-driving performance.
The shocks attach with built-in offset mounts that allow long-travel capabilities with the convenience of OE-like fitment.
The RockSport BLACK Shocks come with a 1/8" laser-cut reservoir mount with a gold zinc finish.
RockSport BLACK Reservoir Shocks provide high-end performance with adjustable compression settings, allowing you to dial in your Grenadier’s ride with a comfortable yet stable compression and rebound cycle for rock crawling, overlanding, daily driving, or “spirited” off-road navigation (wink).

The RockSport BLACK Remote Reservoir Shocks are specifically made to work with MetalCloak True Dual-Rate Coils; the digressive valving provides the best low- and high-speed performance.

Parabolic Valving
Parabolic valving (Patent Pending #63/743,954) provides precision fluid flow in a compact piston stack. Machined parabolic forms contour the butterfly valve shims under fluid pressure, allowing variable resistance based on force loads for an extremely refined tune.
Piston Compression Ports
The smooth-bore, multi-ported piston uses 9 ports to evenly distribute force to the butterfly valve shims: 6 for compression and 3 for rebound. This design helps ensure longevity and optimal performance. The shock piston is finished with functional Type III Mil-Spec clear HARD anodizing.
Inner Recessed Cap
